Russian For Ok

“OK” is “Хорошо” (“Harasho”) in Russian. So if you agree with something or approve some actions, you can say “Хорошо”. In this case it’s a particle. “Will you do it?” “OK.” “Ты сделаешь это?” “Да”. So “OK” also means “да” (“da”) which is “yes”. “Хорошо” is a particle which functions in a dialogue as a reply which expresses approval. It’s an analog of “yes”. If you speak to your friend or a person who you want to be on friendly terms with, you can say “Ладно” (“Ladna”) or “Идет” (“Idyot”) instead of “OK”. These are colloquialisms.
