“White“ is “beliy”, “black” is “chyorniy”, “blue” is “ciniy” or “goluboy”, “green” is “zelyoniy”, “red” is “krasniy”, “orange” is “oranzheviy”, “purple” is “fioletoviy”, “brown” is “korichneviy”, “grey” is “seriy”, “yellow” is “zhyoltiy” in Russian.
The interesting thing is that the English use the word “blue” to define two colours which are sky-blue and dark blue and in Russian we have two words for that.
