Bank sort code is not used in the Russian Federation, unlike UK.

To transfer money to Russian bank account you should know BIC code of a bank. BIC is bank identification code. BIC is used to uniquely identify the bank when making payments. For Sberbank of Russia, there are about 25 BIC codes. Each Territorial Bank (branch) of Sberbank of Russia has its own BIC code. In this case, the funds will transfer immediately to the bank branch. The table of BIC / SWIFT codes of Russian banks can be found on the appropriate bank website or the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.
