Bank Clearing Code Russia. Bank Clearing Number Russian Banks

By | 07/06/2018

Bank clearing number (BC number) and IBAN are not used in the Russian Federation. Use Russian bank identification code (BIC/SWIFT) instead of Bank clearing code.

Bank identification code is necessary to determine branch of a credit organization that participates in settlements in the Russian Federation and its territorial location. All BICs are collected in a special classifier.

The procedure for their assignment and the structure of the banking catalog are defined by the “Regulations on the Directory of Banking Identification Codes …” approved by the Bank of Russia on 05/19/2016 N544-P.
